Expand your cooking and gardening knowledge and skills with our experienced kitchen and farm staff. Learn to cook Fijian and Indian sweet and savoury delights with our Kitchen Angel, Ashmita. You can even harvest your own produce straight from the farm.

Farm to Table  – Collect. Harvest. Cook.

Take an extended farm tour with our Farm Manager getting to know our property while harvesting and collecting produce to cook a delicious feast with our Kitchen Angel.

Indian Main Dishes 

Take a cooking class with our Kitchen Angel Ashmita where you will work with her to cook up a feast of local Indian delights with our Kitchen Angel. Learn the secrets to delicious curries, side dishes and roti.

Indian Sweets & Snacks

Learn a variety of Indo-Fijian snacks and wow your friends back home with your newly acquired skills. If you have a specific Indo-Fijian sweet or snack you’d like to learn, let us know and we can try to accommodate.

Fijian Kitchen

Visit the local market and collect produce for traditional and modern Fijian cooking. You’ll learn how to make a local fried bread, traditional dessert and other delicious main dishes.

Lovo – the underground oven.  

Help prepare a delicious Fijian feast using a lovo. A valuable cultural experience that is hard to replicate at home. Unfortunately, due to the time and labour required, this activity is only available for two or more guests.

We can cater for coeliacs, vegetarians and vegans alike. Just let us know!

Optional extras if booking an activity package for three days or more (complimentary).

• Make virgin coconut oil and vegan cheese
• Turn a live chicken into a meal
• Working in the plant nursery or vegetable garden (season dependent)
• Soap-making (guests staying for five or more days)

Pricing

*Prices are in FJD and are per guest, per activity. Activity packages are at least two guests for three or more activites. Management reserves the right to alter prices without prior notice. Please note, activities are exclusively available to Teitei Homestay guests.
