Fijian Village Visit
Take a crash course into Fijian language and customs before visiting the local neighbouring village untouched by tourism except for our own small and modest visits. You have a choice of the following:
Day visit: kava ceremony, village tour and afternoon tea. Available Monday – Thursday.
Evening visit: kava ceremony and kava throughout your visit and dinner in the village. Available Monday – Saturday.
Indo-Fijian Culture Experience
Begin your experience with an introduction to Indo-Fijian language and customs. You then have a choice of the following:
Ramayana Ceremony: visit the temple and experience the local ladies weekly reading of the Ramayana (holy book) followed by a traditional vegetarian lunch. Available: Tuesday only
Home Visit: learn about Indian culture at a local lady’s home. Learn and experience traditional clothes, cooking, henna and the family altar. Available: Monday, Wednesday – Sunday.
Fijian Handicraft Class
Make a small wood-fired clay pot, local broom and coconut leaf basket with two local Fijian ladies. Available: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

*Prices are in FJD and are per guest, per activity. Activity packages are at least two guests for three or more activities. Management reserves the right to alter prices without prior notice. Please note, activities are exclusively available to Teitei Homestay guests.
